Let Hope Shine – China Child Sponsorship Program

When you choose to sponsor a Morning Star child at our Family Home in China, 100% of your sponsorship goes towards the direct expenses of that child. This helps us provide cardiac medications, high quality enriched formula, love and care through our excellent ayi staff, and the healthy, nourishing food our children need to grow strong. As a child’s sponsor, you will receive monthly updates through your provided email address, along with a physical prayer card that we hope you will use as a daily reminder to pray for the child’s physical health, their heart, and for their adoption paperwork and processes!  We are so grateful for those of you who stand in the gap for these children, loving them and praying for them as their “family for now” until they someday join a family of their own. If you have further questions, please email Meredith (meredith@morningstarproject.org).  (An asterisk* denotes children who have been matched with their families!)

Melia is a sweet new little girl at our home and she is just the most precious. She has the saddest little eyes — we can’t wait to see them sparkle! She joined our Family Home in December, and we just love her so much! She has a very complicated brave little heart, and is awaiting hopeful surgery — if she is operable. She loves to play peek-a-boo and clapping games with her hands and loves to wear her ayi’s slippers all around the home. We love you, precious Melia!

Annie is a precious little baby girl who joined our home in December! We are all completely in love with her little apple cheeks and her sweet eyes. She has a very complicated brave little heart, and has received the first stage heart surgery that she needs… and we are hopeful that she will grow brave and strong while she waits to be big enough for her second! She is just learning to crawl, and she loves to look at picture books. Welcome home, little Annie!

Baby Oliver is our tiniest little heart warrior, and he joined our home in December! We are so loving getting to cuddle and snuggle with this tiny brave guy! He was born with a complicated heart condition that will require several open heart surgeries — we are hopeful that he will grow big and strong and can have his next surgery soon! Oliver loves to giggle and coo — and especially loves to be held and rocked back and forth. And if you sing to him? You might just be his new best friend. We love you, little Oliver!

Theo joined our home in November, and has been affectionately been coined as one of our “Three Muskateers”. He absolutely loves to clown around the baby home with Toby and Jack — those three boys are so much trouble but just the most fun! Theo has a very complicated brave little heart, and is awaiting his second hopeful surgery. He keeps us busy busy busy — always on our toes, but he has the most infectious little giggle and we can’t help but love him. We’re all so happy you’re here, sweet Theo.

Toby also joined our home in November, and has been affectionately been coined as another one of our “Three Muskateers”. He absolutely loves to clown around the baby home with Theo and Jack — those three boys are so much trouble but just the most fun! Toby is so sweet and tender and precious — he loves to snuggle and curl up to read books. He has the quietest little voice, and I love when he gets brave enough to come ask me something. He has a very complicated brave little heart, and is awaiting his surgery, which should happen in the next month. We all adore his little cheek dimples and have fallen absolutely in love with his soulful eyes. Welcome home, Toby. We love you so so so very much.

Kiah is the most breath-taking little gem – her little body is so very weak but her sweet spirit just shines. She is just over one year old, and was born with a broken little heart. We are waiting for her to grow stronger before her next heart surgery that she desperately needs — and we can’t wait to see her blossom as she grows and learns and trusts. There is so much life in her little eyes — we absolutely can’t wait to see her catch up and thrive. Her name means “New Season” — and sweet Kiah-girl, it truly is a new season for you here. We are so glad to have you home.

Elora is a light to us all – capturing our hearts with her soulful eyes. She is four years old, and was born with Down Syndrome and a broken little heart. While doctors in her home province believed her to be inoperable, we are hopeful that here in Beijing she will receive the surgery that she so desperately needs — to mend her broken heart. We all can’t wait to see a grin cross her face — and watch her hope journey unfold. We love you so much, little Elora. You belong right here.

Our little Luna the Lionheart – our new little moon baby. She arrived at our home from Love Without Boundaries, after receiving her first open heart surgery in Shanghai in their care. She has a very complicated heart condition, and surgeons are not sure what further options she will have, but there is always such great HOPE. Right now, she must stay on continuous oxygen support in order to maintain her saturations. She is such a precious little girl with such a strong warrior heart. We are so very thankful she is here with us to receive the love and care she needs until she someday joins a family of her very own. <3 [/et_pb_text][et_pb_cta button_url="http://morningstarproject.org/china-child/luna/" button_text="Support Luna Today!" background_color="#a4002f" admin_label="Call To Action"] [/et_pb_cta][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_section]
