Let Hope Shine – Uganda Child Sponsorship Program

All of our children in the Uganda Love Project have families.  Extreme poverty prevents them from getting the best medical care and treatment for their children.  Your sponsorship will go towards the child’s $10,000 travel and surgery expenses.  When surgery is not an option your sponsorship will go towards the medicines that are needed but the families cannot afford.  We walk with the families through the entire process.  After surgery we continue to follow up and make sure they are having their heart checks at the proper times. If you have further questions, please email Niki (niki@morningstarproject.org).

Isma is an 8 yr old boy from Eastern Uganda who was referred to Morning Star by Samaritans Purse. Despite his serious congenital heart defect he is confident and always looking for an opportunity to play.
(Isma is sponsored at 50% but still needs $5,000 to travel in November for surgery.)
Shadiah is an 7 yr old little girl who has a congenital heart defect and is also deaf. She is determined not to let either slow her down in life. Though she comes across as shy if you can get her to flash her beautiful smile at you it is worth 1000 words.
(Shadiah is completely sponsored!!!)

Hope, a perfect name for this little lady born with a congenital heart defect. She is so curious and friendly, a delight each time we visit. Her mama is bursting with HOPE as they prepare to travel to India for surgery.
